Out and about with Layer Marney Horse Drawn Carriages
TOWIE ON THE TELE
WHAT A SEND OFF
We are now the owners of a Cinderella Pumpkin Carriage. It is proving very popular and with proms and weddings and adds a little bit of fairy-tale magic.
NEW ADDITIONS AT CLEARS FARM
We have had two liveries this month. We had Muffin for a few weeks – a local children’s riding pony to be trained drive.
Muffin took to it like a pro so now he can be enjoyed not just by the kids but the whole family, and mum Kelly is doing really well learning how to drive. We also have Borris, Clears Farm’s first foal, he and mum are doing well and are enjoying being out on the grass together.
WEDDINGS TO WINGS
Well the newly painted Vis a Vis was a great success for our early February wedding.
We were very lucky with the weather and where able to drop the roof down for some photographs.
The bride and her bridesmaids looked beautiful and I think they all enjoyed the carriage drive afterwards
The last few months have been busy to say the least!
We had the pleasure of taking Madness (yes, the band!) to the Q Awards in London, to collect their Hall of Fame Award.
We used our pair of piebald half brothers,Trottie and Billy, driven to our Hartland High Seat Trainer with red LED flashing underneath the carriage – as requested by the band.
During our fundraising charity drive, Alan was interviewed by the BBC.
Mersea Lights Up
For the second year running we were booked to drive Father Christmas and his little helpers down to the village centre to switch on the Christmas lights. This always attracts a huge crowd to see the procession of dancers, majorettes and mobile disco.
As always Trottie and Billy took it all in their stride and enjoyed taking centre stage - show-offs!!
Windsor Great Park
Look who we bumped into, David Emmanuel famed for designing Princess Diana's wedding dress in 1981 and more recently appearing in the jungle on 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' whilst taking part in a charity drive in Winsdor Great Park.
London Christmas Lights
What better way to view London at Christmas than from a horse drawn carriage!
First Class Award at the London Harness Horse Parade
After parading in the annual London Harness Horse Parade held at Ardingly Showground in East Sussex, our turnout was presented with a First Class Award.
